Geolocation within the Landing Page.
This is a dynamic content option based on geolocation that allows you to obtain geographic information from the contact at the time of visiting a Landing Page, its operation is to ask the contact who visits the Landing Page a permission that allows to obtain the latitude and longitude where the contact is at the time of their visit. In addition to being able to display relevant content associated with the location of the contact, important information may be collected that will allow us to carry out segmentations.
The data collected is latitude and longitude, and with this information the country, province and city are automatically obtained.
For that you have to select the third option Dynamic content based on geolocation.
1. You must enter a name that will then allow you to identify the created rule.
2. In order to finish activating dynamic content you have to locate a point or place on the map where you need to display the dynamic content when the contact is within the selected area.
Using the distance symbols below to the right of the map, you can increase or decrease the contact's closeness range.
Geolocation Permit Application Page.
It is important and a good practice in also designing a Landing Page requesting permissions, this home page will be presented to the contact to help you in the process of accepting geolocation permissions and prevent the contact from being confused and not continuing with the geolocation process
This permission landing should be a new HTML template imported into DataCrush and should contain the CTA'S (Call to Actions) required to accept geolocation permissions or not.
These buttons or CTA'S must contain in the case corresponding to ACCEPT THE PERMISSION the value on the element (button or link) the id"dcGeoAccept" and in the case of DO NOT ACCEPT the value id"dcGeoCancel".
To create this permissions page from the Landing Pages Editor, we must click on the Geolocation tab, then select the Landing Page that we previously imported, or if we do not have it created, we can click on the New Landing button and create it at this time.
Important points to keep in mind:
We should keep in mind that in the event that the Lead does not want to accept the permissions, DataCrush will have to geolocate it using IP and this is not at all accurate, since the IPs of the providers that provide internet to the contacts may be registered in different cities.
Once the permissions are accepted and if the contact is already identified by DataCrush (this is done at the time a contact completes a form or accesses to Landings Pages through Email Marketing submissions), the Country, Province, City, Latitude, and Longitude properties are completed (these properties are within the Geolocation contact property group).
It is a fundamental requirement that the Landing Page has the Force use of SSL option selected, an option necessary to obtain the geolocation of the contact.
The portal must have assets and related SSL Certificates.
